We carefully select our wonders based on personal experience, reviews, philosophy. At Mère veilleuse we aim to nurture and support all the mums around the world by sourcing the best natural resources as well as essential high-quality products whilst striving to respect Mother Earth. Our commitment to all the mamas and to the ecology drives all our decisions.
How do I care for my wonders?

Do you accept exchanges or refunds?
Mère veilleuse does not accept returns or refunds for change of mind.
If there is a proven manufacturer’s fault with the product or would like to change the size of your nursing shells, please contact us within 7 days of receiving product for a replacement.

Do you do gift registries?

What is the process if I want to send a gift to someone?
First of all you have come to the right place! The experience we offer is all about mum and everything is carefully selected and made with love. If you have chosen one of our hampers, it will come beautifully wrapped with tissue paper in a mailer box. You have the option to add a personal note by adding one of our postcards to your hamper. We would be happy to write your message for you. Please email us at

You can send your hamper to the lucky mama by entering her address at check out.
Are all your products shipped in a mailer box?
Our hampers are shipped in a mailer box. If you were purchasing several products at the same time, it is likely we will ship your order in a mailer box too.
However, for any single product purchase, it will be mailed in a compostable satchel.
How long does it take for me to receive my order?

2) About our Nursing seashells
Do you use any chemicals to polish your Mer’veilles nursing seashells?
We do not use any chemicals to polish our seashells. We carefully select and polish them without using any chemicals.
Are the shells safe to use for me and my baby?
The shells are perfectly safe to use for yourself and your baby. However, if you are allergic to mother of pearl do not use them. If you develop any reactions or suspect you have an infection, stop using them straight away and contact your health provider. Mère veilleuse cannot be held responsible for individual reactions or irritations from a product.
How do I know I chose the right size for my nursing shells?
Measure your areola and select the size range. We recommend you choose a size that will cover the whole diameter of your areola
Small: 5.5cm
Medium: 5.5cm up to 6cm
Large: shells above 6cm
3) About our cookies
How do Tanker Toppers work?
Our Tanker Toppers contain 100% natural ingredients. All there to help nourish mothers. A nourished mother is better able to respond to the demands of breastfeeding. Each of our Tanker Toppers contain ingredients known as ‘galactagogues’ a word to describe foods that may increase breast milk production and these include oats (not found in the gluten free variety), brewers yeast (gluten free brewers is used in the gluten free biscuits), and flaxseeds. Anecdotally these ingredients have been used for centuries by breast feeding mothers.
How many Tanker Toppers should I be eating per day?
Our recommended serve is 2-4 biscuits or crackers or 60gm of muesli. To be eaten in one sitting a few hours prior to feeding.
Can I eat the whole tin of Tankers?
Yes you can. However, please be mindful. We do know it is hard to stop! We recommend you have 2-4 biscuits / crackers or 60gm of muesli 3-4 hours before feeding.
What do Tanker Toppers taste like?
We think Tanker Toppers are delicious but of course we are a little biased. Our Tanker Toppers taste like a cross between a delicious oat biscuit and a muesli slice. You may notice a very mild salty or “sharp” after taste, that is the brewers yeast doing its magic helping your Tanks fill up quickly!
Why wheat and dairy free? (Fig & Almond and Choc Chip Tanker and Fennel and Fenugreek Savoury Tanker)
As believers of limiting dairy and wheat in one’s diet for good health our biscuits also meet the needs of those who are intolerant to these foods. Being egg and honey free we tick the box for vegans as well.
Are your tanker toppers gluten free?
We have one gluten free Tanker Toppers option.
Are your Tanker Toppers vegan?
Yes, 100% and we are super proud of this. We tend to prefer to call them plant based whole foods – they are 100% full of nourishing REAL FOOD.
Could I eat Tanker Toppers whilst pregnant?
Absolutely! Our Tanker Toppers are a nutritional powerhouse and will help prepare your body for the demands of breastfeeding whilst nourishing you in this incredibly special time. Just be careful and not to overdo it. We have had a number of pregnant mums have a few too many and milk the bed overnight!

Are you teas Hallal & Vegan ?
Yes, all our teas & lactation cookies are both Vegan & Hallal.
Are your teas organic?
Yes, all herbs are 100% Australian certified organic.
Are your teas gluten free?
Yes, all our teas are 100% gluten free.
Safety & Health Information
Do not drink hot tea over top of your baby while in the act of breastfeeding to avoid burns – we recommend consuming before feeding.
Our breastfeeding tea has been designed by our naturopath specifically to help support milk supply in breastfeeding mothers. Some of these amazing herbs are not recommended in pregnancy. We do not advise drinking the tea until the birth of your baby. All teas are safe to be drunk from birth
Do not give tea directly to your baby.
Mother’s should seek advice from a doctor or professional lactation consultant for any medical advice in regards to their babies health, wellbeing or attachment
Tea is Food, not medicine.
The plant kingdom is an abundant and rich resource for anyone interested in maintaining health and preventing disease. Herbs and herbal teas are a part of that wonderful resource.
Herbs taken as a tea, don’t act as a direct medicine, but as a gentle support for health and healthy function. They form part of our “food” and have been celebrated as such for centuries.
Herbal teas are a safe and gentle way to access the properties of the herbs, as part of our diet.
Herbal medicine, which concentrates the active ingredients of the herb or plant into a herbal tincture, is very different. It needs TGA approval for use and requires a prescription from a professionally trained and qualified Herbalist.
The Therapeutic Goods Administration clearly states that: “Generally a product that is swallowed will be either one form of a therapeutic good (a medicine) or a food.
Often, claims made about a product or the appearance of the product may suggest that it is a therapeutic good. However, the fact that health claims are made about a product does not automatically make it a therapeutic good.”
Therefore, all teas made by The Breastfeeding Tea Co are deemed a food with therapeutic benefits and are not medicine nor required to be registered with the TGA.
Allergic Reactions/ Drug Interactions
ALLERGIC REACTIONS – It is the consumers responsibility to check the ingredients for allergies before purchasing or consuming our teas . The Breastfeeding Tea Co and Mère veilleuse cannot be held responsible for individual reactions or irritations from a product. We highly recommend you thoroughly read the ingredients list we include on every product.
Should you have an allergic reaction we suggest you cease drinking the tea immediately and contact your doctor for further clarification on the allergy . No refunds will be issues for allergic reactions.
DRUG INTERACTIONS- It is the consumers responsibility to check the ingredients are safe to drink with their prescribed drugs or prescription medicine. Please consult your doctor for advice.
Nut Allergies
None of our Tea range contains any traces of nuts. They are also crafted in a kitchen that does not process nuts
